TUITION

 

Tuition for the year (3 terms) is $425 which entitles the member to all the benefits and opportunities of membership. That’s a minimum of 84 hours of course time a year, plus all the other benefits of membership (click here). A few events (The PLATO Retreat, Holiday Party, daylong Milhaupt Seminar and Day Trips) usually require additional fees to cover expenses. 

Associate members pay the same fee and shall enjoy all the privileges of membership, except that they may not coordinate or co-coordinate and are excused from making presentations, but may participate in S/DG discussions. (Members who have been active for four or more years may apply to the Member Advocate Committee for Associate status. 

On Leave members pay a fee of $60 a year (3 terms).  This status is for members who plan to be inactive for more than one term.  On Leave members receive The Toga and Monthly by mail and may attend social functions, colloquia and noon talks; they may participate in retreats and other activities, with active members having priority.  They may not audit S/DGs, hold office, or serve on committees.

Tuition payments are to be made by check or credit card at the PLATO office or by mail.

Online Payments Here are the simple steps for making payments online.
Please read through before beginning the process
.
1. Go to the Extension homepage at www.uclaextension.edu
2. select the tab at the top labeled :Quick Enroll"
3. in the box labeled "Reg#" enter the code for the correct term. (Fall, 2008 term is T6916)
4.Click "Add to my study list".
5. Click "Complete my registrationl"
You will be prompted to complete a form that identifies you as the payer, then enter a credit card number .
Upon completion, you will receive an email confirmation. A payment receipt will then be mailed to you.

 

Payment of Annual Fee in Installments
A member may request to pay his/her annual fee in installments in either of two ways:     
$225 at the time of annual renewal, and $200 at the time of billing for the following term, or
$145 at the time of renewal and $140 at the time of billing of each of the two following terms.

Refund Policy
A member who decides to drop membership in PLATO prior to the beginning of the 2nd term of the membership year will receive a refund of one-half of the membership fee upon completion of change of status form.
